Preparing for Interviews – Introduction

The purpose of a job interview from the applicants perspective is for the employer to meet the potential employee, to find out what they’re like and check out their relevant skills for the job. It is also a chance for the applicant to get a feel for the organization.

Also, it allows the employer to find out a little bit more about the applicant beyond the resume. They’ve obviously seen the resume, the application, and are interested. The interview is for the employer to get a look and a feel of the person that they’re interviewing to see if they’re going to fit into the organization.
